spring break :)

 the seniors graduated a few of days ago :(
the juniors from the girls tennis team went to the graduation ceremony to congratulate the seniors from the team. usually, we dont have to wear our uniforms, but since this was a formal event, they were required.

and why am I the only one wearing the red tie? because i felt like wearing a red tie instead of a gold tie. because i dont like the gold tie.

so back to studying my butt of for the SAT....

i have 3 10-page research papers due in approximately 2 weeks. and i am going to die.

see you... if i do survive, that is.

and so 2006 is almost coming to an end now. it went by all to quickly i think. next year... i gotta work harder. ech.

my xmas-
xmas in japan is different. its like the opposite from the states. here, its more common to spend xmas with your sweethearts (if you dont have one, with friends) and new years with your family. and well little mai here who doesnt have a special person to spend it with, decided to get together with other friends in the same situation, and go watch my friends band perform at like a real place with a stage and built in amplifiers and everything :) he was selling tickets at school, and we were just like yeah sure we have nobody special to spend it with anyway... lol. yeah they're a sad bunch too... doing a concert on xmas eve... because none of the band members have a girlfriend lol. it was funny though because once, inbetween the songs, he was like "thanks everybody for coming to see us. on xmas eve too... but you guys are just as sad as we are. everybody here is a bunch of sad people without boyfriends or girlfriends, but lets just forget about that tonight and enjoy the music :)" but it was a REALLY good concert. like i almost cried at the end because their last song was so sad, and also because it was their last performance as a band too. i think i spent a good xmas eve even without a boyfriend ;) lol. but my mom got really mad at me... because i got home at 11pm. no wonder ^^; and i didnt call beforehand to tell her i was gonna be late. i mean yeah i know im the one at fault, but i couldnt go outside during the concert to just call home.

so this was my wonderful xmas eve 2006. how was yours? x]

its winter break already...

 Long time no see!! :) Well I've been reading everybody's posts, but I was just too busy/lazy  to write a post of my own. But now its winter break and I have all the time in the world (well no not really... gotta go to cram school, study for SATs and of course hang out with my friends x] ) so I'll do a picture post and show you snipits of my year (well... my year that i havent written about so far) Don't expect much though because I don't carry around my camera so much anymore. And beware of fobby asian peace signs. A lot of them.

school fest. TONS of fun, and it was a great success. it was voted 4th for the best event (??? i dont know how to translate the word) out of all the events in the whole entire school so i guess we did pretty darn well. :D its all about customer satisfaction!! lol

field trip!! we bought one of those fortune telling paper thingies...

sports fest! the whole school is divided into 6 teams according to what class your in. my team color was orange, and our dance theme was MUSCLE MANN lol and the seniors make up a dance according to that theme and teach it to the underclassmen. then we practice practice practice and perform it!! and we got first place for that, with the judges being the teachers x] you also get to pick a few events you participate in out of... a whole bunch, and i was in the 100m dash and the "mock cavalry battle" (thats what it said when i looked for translations in the dictionary) You get points according to your results and it they get added to the team score (think of it like hogwarts, except we dont get subtracted of points) and at the end, the team with the most points wins!!!

got bloated at the afterparty at this all-you-can-eat place (this isnt all of the team, trust me. theres like 120 people in all)

so this is life in japan. hectic but fun! school isnt all about studying, you get to do fun events like above, and it teaches you more than what you can learn in class. ahhh i cant believe that i only have like a bit more than one year left in high school.... makes me sad :( 
ill also probably be taking more on xmas and new years, so if i do, i might upload it. if i feel like it. ^^
